Our Positions

Fleet and Building Manager

Responsible for the management, maintenance and optimization of the company’s material resources, including vehicles (fleet) and buildings (premises and infrastructure). This key position requires proactive management of assets to ensure their proper functioning, safety and compliance with legal and environmental standards

Responsibilities

Fleet management:
•Planning and Coordination: Organize vehicle routes to maximize the efficiency of deliveries or trips and plan and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs to minimize unplanned vehicle stops.

•Supervision of operations: Ensure the regulatory compliance of vehicles (registration, mechanical inspections, certificates). Provide training and supervision of drivers to ensure safety and productivity.

•Performance monitoring: Analyze operating costs (fuel, maintenance, repairs) and identify opportunities to reduce expenses and ensure real-time monitoring of vehicles using geolocation systems and intervene in case of incidents.

•Partner Relationship: Collaborate with carriers, insurers and suppliers for the purchase or lease of vehicles and equipment.

Building Management:
•Maintenance and Upkeep: Supervise maintenance work, facility security, inspection planning and compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.

•Management of infrastructure and operational equipment: Optimize the use of spaces (warehouses, offices, parking areas). Identify and coordinate works to improve or renovate or upgrade infrastructure and operational equipment.

•Supplier Relations: Manage contracts with service providers and ensure that work contracted out is completed on time and in accordance with standards.

•Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget related to the maintenance and operation of buildings and control expenses and seek to reduce operational costs.

•Communication and reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of the fleet and vessels. Communicate with management to anticipate investment needs or operational issues and ensure smooth communication between operational teams and other departments.

Qualifications

•Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in the transportation field.
•Geographical knowledge of Canada an asset
•Ability to communicate clearly with teams, suppliers and customers.
•Ability to lead and motivate a team, while making strategic decisions.
•Understanding of fleet management systems and building infrastructure.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
•Ability to identify problems quickly and propose effective solutions.
•Understanding of the laws and regulations concerning fleet and vessel management.
•Ability to manage budgets and optimize resources to reduce costs.
•Ability to negotiate with suppliers and service providers.
•Proficiency in fleet and building management software.
•Excellent management of stress, pressure and priorities.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Between 75K and 90K
